Phillip Addis has established himself as a leading performer in opera, concert and recital with his daring, yet sensitive interpretations. He has starred worldwide in such roles Billy Budd, Pelléas, Eugene Onegin, Don Giovanni and Figaro.
His concert repertoire includes Carmina Burana, Lieder Eines Fahrenden Gesellen, Elijah, Messiah, Ein Deutches Requiem and, most notably, Britten's War Requiem, which he has sung at the Cincinnati May Festival, the Britten LA/100 Festival, and with the Nashville Symphony.
In recital with pianist Emily Hamper, Phillip has performed many of the great works of the art song tradition to audiences in Canada, the U.S., France and Australia. Together they are the Artistic Directors of the Stratford Summer Music Vocal Academy, where they teach and prepare the next generation of singers for careers on the main stage.
